Nylon 6,6

Product Description

Nylon 6,6 also known as Polyamide 6,6 or PA6,6, is a synthetic polymer, produced from Polymerization of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid. Nylon 6,6 in comparison to Nylon 6 has higher modulus, better wear resistance and better chemical resistance to hydrocarbons.

However, Nylon 6,6 has less impact strength compared to Nylon 6.This affects the polymer during processing of intricate parts. To take care of this, Nylon 6,6 is modified by compounding with impact modifiers.

GRP has the following Modified Nylon 6,6 Grades:

1
2
3

Properties

High stiffness - impact ratio

Better processability

Higher ductility

Benefits

Useful in intricate moldings to avoid part breakages

Helpful in molding thin walled components to thick walled moldings

Helps in meeting various applications requiring higher ductility
