Butyl rubber is a synthetic rubber, a copolymer of isobutylene with isoprene. Generally it’s called as IIR. It stands for isobutylene isoprene rubber. Butyl rubber is impermeable to air and used in many applications requiring an airtight rubber.
The first major applications of butyl rubber are tire inner tubes and Inner Liner. Some other applications are adhesives, bladders, sealants and chewing gum.
GRP Butyl Reclaim made from used butyl tubes. When incorporated in recipe provides faster mixing & extrusion, reduced power consumption. It is best suited for inner tubes, tyre inner liner, adhesives, cable compound.
The vulcanization properties of GRP Butyl Reclaim make it particularly suitable for a variety of Butyl Rubber products.
